The Paseo de Gran Canaria in Firgas is distinguished by its beautifully crafted ceramic artworks. It features a series of ceramic murals and benches that depict the 21 municipalities of Gran Canaria, each represented by its coat of arms and a characteristic landscape or landmark.
One of the most striking features of the promenade is the cascading waterfall, known as the “Paseo de la Canarias.” This artificial waterfall runs down a series of steps, creating a tranquil and picturesque setting that attracts visitors and photographers.
In addition to the Paseo de Gran Canaria, there is the Paseo de Canarias, which extends the concept to include all the Canary Islands. This section displays beautiful ceramic representations of each of the islands, along with their respective coats of arms.
The promenade serves as a tribute to the history and culture of Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands as a whole. It reflects the local pride and identity of the islanders, showcasing their heritage through art and design.
