Flamenco Beach is situated on Culebra, a small island about 20 miles east of the Puerto Rican mainland.
You can reach Culebra by a short flight from San Juan or a ferry ride from the town of Ceiba. Once on the island, Flamenco Beach is easily accessible by taxi or rental vehicle.
One of the unique and intriguing sights at Flamenco Beach are the rusting military tanks left behind from when the U.S. Navy used Culebra as a gunnery range. These tanks have become iconic and are often covered in colorful graffiti, serving as a popular photo spot.
The best time to visit Flamenco Beach is during the dry season, from December to April, when the weather is typically sunny and pleasant. Weekdays and off-peak times are less crowded, providing a more tranquil experience.
