Parque Natural Jandía features an extensive coastline with long, unspoiled beaches, such as Playa de Cofete and Playa de Barlovento. These beaches are often described as some of the most beautiful in the Canary Islands, characterized by golden sands and turquoise waters.
The park’s dramatic scenery makes it a favorite among photographers. The contrasts between the barren mountains, lush valleys, and expansive beaches provide endless opportunities for capturing stunning images.
Getting there:
The most convenient way to reach Parque Natural Jandía is by renting a car. This allows you the freedom to explore the park at your own pace.
The nearest town to the park is Morro Jable, located on the southeastern coast of the Jandía Peninsula. From here, you can drive to different parts of the park.
One of the main attractions within the park is Cofete Beach. The road to Cofete is a dirt track and can be rough, so it’s recommended to use a 4×4 vehicle. The drive from Morro Jable to Cofete takes about 45 minutes.
There is a local bus service that connects Morro Jable with other parts of Fuerteventura, but public transportation to the interior parts of the park, like Cofete, is limited.
