Juvet Landscape Hotel is situated in the rural village of Alstad in Valldal, in the northwest part of Norway. It is perched on the edge of a riverbank, surrounded by dense forests, dramatic mountains, and a tranquil river, providing guests with a serene and immersive nature experience. Designed by Norwegian architects Jensen & Skodvin, the hotel features a minimalist and modern design that harmoniously blends with the natural landscape. The hotel consists of several individual cabins, each positioned to offer maximum privacy and unobstructed views of the stunning scenery.
The accommodations at Juvet Landscape Hotel are divided into different types:
Landscape Room – These are the signature rooms of the hotel, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the surrounding nature. The minimalist interiors are designed to keep the focus on the outside views, with comfortable beds and modern amenities.
Bird Houses – These are slightly elevated from the ground, resembling birdhouses nestled among the trees. They offer a more intimate and secluded experience with similar large windows for enjoying the views.
The Writer’s Lodge – A larger cabin designed as a more spacious retreat, suitable for those looking for a longer stay or needing more space. It includes a separate living area and a private deck.
The hotel is accessible by car, with a scenic drive from the nearest major cities such as Ålesund (approximately 2 hours) and Molde (around 3 hours). The journey itself offers breathtaking views of Norway’s fjords and mountains.
