Gorkhi Terelj National Park is a protected area located in the Töv Province of Mongolia, about 70 kilometers north-east of the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. It’s one of the most popular national parks in Mongolia, known for its stunning natural beauty, unique rock formations, and nomadic culture.
The park covers an area of over 1,500 square kilometers and is characterized by vast landscapes of rolling hills, forests, rivers, and rock formations, including the famous Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Aryabal Meditation Temple. Visitors to Gorkhi Terelj National Park can engage in a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, camping, and rock climbing. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including species like marmots, deer, and various bird species.
